Large, non-porous board for serious prep and everyday cooking. Solid food-grade 304 stainless steel - never plated - is brushed by hand in the USA, then checked twice so the surface you receive is flat, true, and free of defects. At 22 by 17.5 inches, it offers nearly two feet of working width and about a foot and a half of depth: enough room to break down a roast, hold a full mise en place, or serve as a countertop cover and sink guard. The steel is twice the thickness of typical plated boards, so it stays rigid, transfers heat evenly, and is built to last for decades. An anti-slip base keeps the board planted on any surface. The surface itself is hygienic and non-porous: bacteria has nowhere to hide, and the board is dishwasher-safe.

A second use, if you want it
Because the steel is solid and thick, the same board can sit over a gas burner or charcoal grill and become a plancha-style cooktop. Heat travels evenly across the large surface, so medium settings often replace the high heat you would use on a bare grate. Start low and increase gradually. Do not use on an electric coil or glass-top range—the board can damage the stove. Common questions

Will knives scratch the surface?

Yes — stainless shows knife marks over time. Light hairline scratches are normal use, not a defect, and they do not open pores the way wood or plastic scoring can. Use sharp knives, avoid twisting the tip hard into one spot, and clean with a non-abrasive pad. Scratches are cosmetic; the lifetime warranty covers structural failure (bend/warp), not finish wear.

Are STELE boards hard on knives?

Every cutting surface dulls a knife over time — including wood. STELE is harder than end-grain wood, so you may hone a bit more often, the same way you’d maintain knives you use every day. What you gain: a non-porous, dishwasher-safe board that won’t open pores or deep score marks the way wood and plastic can.

Will it rust?

Food-grade 304 stainless is highly corrosion-resistant in normal kitchen use. Dry after the dishwasher or a long wet sit, and avoid leaving acidic puddles overnight. Surface film from hard water usually wipes away.

Can I put it in the dishwasher?

Yes. STELE is dishwasher-safe. After the cycle, dry the logo cutout and underside so leftover droplets do not sit on the counter.

Can I use it as a flat-top grill?

Yes — on the right heat source. Because STELE is solid, thick 304 stainless, many owners set it over a gas burner or outdoor charcoal/gas grill and use it like a plancha / flat-top: searing, smash burgers, veggies, breakfast. Heat spreads evenly across the plate, so start low and work up — medium often replaces the high heat you’d use on a bare grate.

Do not use it as a cooktop on glass-top or electric coil ranges — the board can damage the stove. For everyday cutting, keep it on the counter with the anti-slip lip engaged. Optional heat use is a bonus, not the primary job of the board.

What does the lifetime warranty cover?

Structural issues — if the board bends, warps, or fails structurally, we replace it. Normal cosmetic wear (scratches, scuffs) is excluded. Free shipping on every board.

We have the STELE15 and now the 22. We decided to get the largest board they have and we absolutely love it! Just used it to prep 3 slabs of ribs at once and didn’t need to worry about other cooking sheets. The board is sturdy enough to transport 3 slabs on it (counter to grill) and it doesn’t bend whatsoever while holding it on the sides. No complaints. I have no doubt that this thing will last forever.
